The Asst. Manager – VAT will be responsible for managing VAT compliance, reporting, and documentation in line with applicable tax laws. The role includes preparing and filing VAT returns, maintaining accurate VAT records, reconciling input and output VAT, supporting VAT audits, and coordinating with internal departments and tax authorities. The position also involves ensuring compliance accuracy, identifying tax risks, and assisting in VAT planning and process improvements to ensure smooth and timely tax operations.
Prepare and file monthly/quarterly VAT returns accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with VAT laws and maintain proper tax records.
Reconcile VAT accounts with financial statements.
Handle VAT audits, notices, and correspondence with tax authorities.
Advise management on VAT-related matters and regulatory updates.
Supervise junior staff and review VAT-related work.
Strong knowledge of VAT laws and regulations.
VAT return preparation and compliance skills.
Financial accounting and reconciliation ability.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (ERP/SAP/Tally).
Tax audit handling and documentation skills.
